Her reputation has grown to the point where her work is no longer considered solely within the context of quilting, but celebrated among the great American artistic achievements of our time.  This exhibition is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of the artist’s work to date, featuring approximately seventy quilts, pieced tops, embroideries, assemblages, and decorated objects. It reveals Tompkins to be an artist of extraordinary variety, depth, and impact.  Reserve timed tickets to see the exhibition here.

#installationday Hung Liu’s “Shipyard Worker”, 2021 For the last several years Liu has turned her focus to the rich content of Dorothea Lange’s archive. Our clients fell in love with this dignified portrait that suggests the possibility of hope and opportunity at a difficult time in American history. Liu’s characteristic style with its washes and drips conjures the passage of memory into history and gives new life and meaning to old images. #collectart #artsourceconsulting #bayareaart #hungliu
